Just wondering, is there an AWESOME cake decorating store that you love? I'm travelling there and would like to check some places out. I would really like to get some Americolour Gel's that everyone talks about.

Thanks! (Could you post the name/address of your favorite place?)

Hi There

Phoenix isn't really known for it's cake stores. In fact, other than Michael's, I have only found ONE cake store (but it's very nice).

(602) 224-9796
ABC Baking Cake Decorating & Party Supplies
2853 E Indian School Rd
Phoenix, AZ 85016 - 6857

Hope you enjoy your visit.

Christy's Cake Supplies in Mesa.

http://www.christyscakesupplies.com

She's still stocking up as she's relatively new, but she's fabulous and bends over backwards in customer service, unlike ABC.

Go to Christy's Cake store in Mesa. She has everything you will ever want and her prices are good. Plus like MrsRight said, Christy is wonderful!

ABC Decorating in Phoenix has everything Christy's has but a lot more candy and cookie decorating supplies. They also carry tons of those plastic decorations and paper products if you're into that.

Both places carry Americolors. The only other stores I'm aware of that carries any type of cake decorating supplies are Michael's, Joann's and Pretty Party Place. But nothing comparable to the first two mentioned.

Ditto what the others have said about Christy's Cake Supplies, she has a lot of great stuff and she is way cool.

I do feel should warn you, if you end up in a place called "Christies"... you're in the wrong place. icon_eek.gificon_biggrin.gif

We actually made that one for a bridal show a couple of years ago, just to shake things up a little. One bride walked up and said "those are big" to which I replied... "Yeah, but you can totally tell they are fake". icon_biggrin.gif
