Here's a story that I hope brings a few smiles.

It was just one of those days! I was working on a cake, I had done all the flowers a head of time, I made the filling, I made the frosting, I colored the frosting, had all my supplies handy . . . . and then I went to get the cake. Oh boy, I hadn't taken it out of the freezer yet. This was just after I had talked to my friend who had ordered the cake called. At that time I told her things were going great and the cake would be ready in a couple of hours!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHH! Thank God it was about 90 degrees here today, so I took the cakes out of the freezer and let them sit on the hood of my car in the garage (it's not insulated so it gets pretty warm). Those puppies were defrosted in 45 min icon_razz.gif

I really need to start putting together a checklist of things I need to do, because it always seems like little stupid things like this happen.
And by the way, I am blonde, have 2 small kids, so I'm functioning on a minimum number of brain cells as it is icon_redface.gif

What a cute story! I live in Houston and it is very hot and humid here. Now I know what to do if I ever need to defrost a cake quickly! icon_wink.gif
