What do you think of using the sport ball pan for a pumkin? I am in need of a small pumkin for a order next week. In my photos I made a pumkin out of the bundt pans, but for this order that is to much cake. Thank you for your thoughts!
how many servings do you need? i think it holds one cake mix (12 regular servings). are you using bc or fondant? if you do fondant, you could roll strips of fondant (thicker in the middle, thinner at each end) and attach it from top to bottom, then cover it entirely with fondant to get the ridge effect. never tried it, but i read about doing that for a barbie doll dress (dress ripples) cake. same effect. might work! good luck with the end result!
maybe a small bundt cake pan...I have a large one and a smaller one....so I would bet one mix would probably work for 2 smaller bundt cake pans.
i just looked through all the halloween cakes and saw several pumpkins that were made from 2 bundtpans (one upside down), covered in fondant, sprayed and or brushed with luster dust. totally cool. here is one of my favorites.

I just got the great pumpkin pan from Williams Sonoma . . . it makes perfect smaller sized pumpkins! I figured I can use it during the holidays and also if I want to make a pumpkin carriage cake . . . I think it makes a better looking pumpkin than when I tried it with a bundt pan.
