Hello Fellow CC's,
I have gotten a recipe and instrutions on how to make a horse head cake, and it calls to bake off two round cakes in a pyrex 1 1/2 qrt bowl. My ? is, should I use just one cake recipe that makes like 2 8"rounds or do you think I should use more batter than that between the two? Thanks for the help!! icon_razz.gif

I would suggest filling the 8" pan 1/2-2/3 full with water (to represent cake batter used for one,) then dump that water into the 1 1/2 qt. bowl to get an idea of how far it fills the bowl. Or, work backwards and fill the bowl 1/2 full, then see how many times this fits into the 8" round based on how full it would normally be filled. I would guess you'll need more than one mix.
