Excuse me if I am wrong, You want ideas for a Alligator cake? If I may say so myself, frozen Buttercream Transfer icon_wink.gif . At the end of the process after it is frozen, add a big whopping of icing to the back and it should be 3-D. Or learn how to pipe animals. icon_smile.gif

try cutting a sheet cake in the basic shape of an alligator. you can use a couple marshmellows to raise the eye area and cover with buttercream or fondant. you could do the legs by piping them or covering marshmellows with buttercream again or rolling from fondant. you could use a piece that you cut off when shaping to add another angled layer to the mouth to look like an open mouth. sounds more confusing than it should...

hope this helps - or like briansbaker said - you can pipe them onto the top of a cake.

good luck!
