I wanted to try this but don't know how it would go. I wondered if it would work to use peanut butter instead of crisco and just make chocolate peanutbuttercream icing.

Think it'll work?

I made a peanut butter filling using peanut butter and powdered sugar. It worked out nicely. If you want it as a icing, I'm not sure if you can substitute peanut butter for all the shortening. I think you need some shortening for stability in the icing.

Any one else

monizcel - that filling sounds yummy! I'll have to try it.

But for the icing, I think you would still need the shortening. I would make a regular batch and then add some pb and just keep tasting until you like it.
