LOL

I have to have 400 cookies decorated and packed by Oct. 12. They are already in the freezer all cut but when should I start decorating them?

What are you decorating them with ? Royal? Color flow? Buttercream?

I don't really have an answer for you but I guess it would depend on how much detail is on the cookie and what icing you are using so you can figure the drying time in too. Are the cookies baked already? Good luck

Here's a bump though. icon_biggrin.gif

I am using fondant with a tad bit of royal icing accents.

They are not baked though

Did you freeze the cut-outs or just the dough? If only the dough, there is still a lot of work to be done - wow! I admire you icon_smile.gif

I would start on doing the fondant cut outs now. Layer and wrap in plastic wrap and place in a tuperware container. Then I would start baking on the 10th and as thoses suckers come out of the oven lay the precut fondant pieces on them, then as soon as they are cooled (the fondant will adhere to the warm cookie) start decorating them with the royal. Depending on how much room you have to spread out will depend on how much you can get done at one time. If you don't have alot of spread room, then you might have to start early, But you are looking at a day of baking and decorating then a few hours of bagging.
