Do you want a scratch or mix? The cake mix doctor book has a very good strawberry cake recipe.

Actually, it doesn't matter to me. Are you speaking of the Triple Decker Strawberry cake in her book? I saw that but had never tried it.
Thanks
No not the triple decker strawberry, the other strawberry recipe is the one I use. Here is the recipe:
1 box of white cake mix
1 package of strawberry gelatin
1 cup of mashed fresh strawberries w/ juice (I use whole frozen strawberries)
1/2 cup milk
4 large eggs
Bake at 350 degrees.
The recipe also calls for 1 cup of frozen unsweetened grated coconut and 1/2 cup chopped pecans but I always leave these two items out. I got rave reviews on this cake.
This is one of my most requested cakes:
1 package white cake mix
1 (3oz) package strawberry jello
2/3c oil
4 eggs
3 tb flour
4 ounces frozen/fresh strawberries (unsweetened and drained)
1/2 c buttermilk
I also do a filling which is:
1/2c sugar
4 tb flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup diced fresh strawberries
3/4 c strawberry nectar (you can find this in cans in the hispanic section of the grocery store, or if you use frozen strawberries just use the juice from them after they thaw out)
1 tb butter
Combine all ingredients, exept butter, in a double boiler stirring consistantly until mixture is thickened. Once thickened stir in butter, remove from heat and cool. I may add more strawberries, depending on how many layers I do.
I usually just use a basic buttercream frosting but use some strawberry nectar in place of the typical water/milk to thin the icicng.
I like the Triple Decker Strawberry Cake (pg.67) in the Cake Mix Doctor, and get many compliments on it. PM me if you want the recipe
Thanks for all of the recipes! I can't wait to try them. I guess I'll be eating lots of strawberry cake this week Not that it's a BAD thing!
