I see alot of pictures where the fondant looks shiny. How do I get that effect. Do you paint the fondant? My colors always look so flat and dry. I have used MMF and store bought.

I use a very fine mister. Once I am done, I quickly mist the cake, not over doing it, when it drys it has a shiney look. I have heard that some might use a white shortning rubbed on their hands and go over the surface of the cake, this will take out the dry look and give a glossy look.
