Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hi Guys: I need a recipe for MOIST chocolate chip cookies from scratch. I have tried quite a few and they always come out much to crisp. Any suggestions?

Use all butter, and remove the cookies at least 1 minute sooner than directed in the recipe so that they stay softer.

This recipe is also great for cookie cakes. This recipe is amazing.. When I make the cookie cakes, I use one batch in an 11 x 3 round cake pan. Good luck and enjoy!

This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I have been making it for several years, they turn out perfect every time. Because they're baked at a lower temp, they stay moist and chewy.

Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter or margarine (I use marg.)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 pkg chocolate chips.

Bake at 325 for 10-13 minutes. (I do about 11 min, but every oven is different.

I spent YEARS finding this recipie, mine were always to cakey or crisp. Found this one on the back of the Crisco stick label and it is PERFECT, my DH wont eat any other cookie.

3/4 c crisco shortening (may use butter flavor stick if have)
1&1/4 cps firmly packed brown sugar
2 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1&3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips (I like milk choc, he prerfers semi sweet)
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)

1.Heat oven to 375
2. Combine Crisco, brown sugar, milk, vanilla in large bowel. Beat at med speed with elec mixer until well blended. Beat egg into creamed mix
3. Combine flour, salt, baking soda. Mix into creamed mix until just blended. Stir in choc chip and pecans.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 3 inches apart on ungreassed baking sheet, bake one sheet at at time at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes (11 minutes is actually perfect in my oven) for chewy cookies. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Cool 2 min on sheet. Remove to cooling grid and cool completely.

Makes about 3 doz cookies.

I tried your recipe and must tell you it was so good. I found though that I had to let it stay a little longer than 11 minutes and it still did not come out golden but very nice. I added walnuts. I halfed the recipe since I did not want to eat them all (smile) but will no doubt be sharing them with my friends when I make them again.

What size package is it?

I think it helps to melt your butter completely before adding to the mixture, it seems to help keep the cookies moist and soft!

Go to Topsecretrecipes.com and try the Mrs Fields chocolate chip cookie recipe. It is soooooo good! But, add 2 Tlb of water to the mix and use real butter kinda cold. Cook them for 12 min on parchment paper....they might look like they're not done, but they will continue to cook a little bit well cooling. When I make them...my friends and family say they taste just like Mrs Fields. Good luck!
