Here's my story:

I had 10 hours to decorate these cakes, 2 hours were to be spent in a doctors office or so I thought, but I thought 8 hours should be more than enough time.
Went to my doctor's appt. and 6 1/2 hours later I was finally released!!! My blood pressure was through the roof! after 2 hours at the doctors office they sent me to the emergency room, Aaahhh! icon_cry.gif I have cakes to decorate!

Anyway, I was finally released after being stabilized with meds and sent home. I had less than one hour to decorate both cakes and for a newbie that is so not enough time. And of course more stress to add to my HBP, not good.

I know the cakes aren't fabulously decorated but with all I went through yesterday, I could use some cheering up by the Wonderful people here on CC.

Thanks for looking;
LL

I think you did a great job, especially with the emergency room visit! I wish I could write that nicely!

I hope you can relax today and feel better. icon_smile.gif

I always thought decorating cakes raised my blood pressure. Maybe that's what caused it. ; )

Glad you are doing better and on meds. Congrats on getting the cakes done. : )

i most definitely would have been right at the supermarket buying a cake and an apology card for not being able to get them done. either that or an i.o.u!!!! good job, i hope everything is well with your health, which is the most important thing.

Thank you all for your kind words...My Mom was just glad I was okay...
Saw my doctor today and everything is looking good, blood pressure is still stable and I'm feeling fine.
I'm a SAHM, who would've thought you could get stressed being at home with three kids!
Thank you again!

You did a fabulous job on the cakes!!! While I was reading your story I laughed because I could just imagine you sitting in the doctor's office and your blood pressure going up and up because you knew you had to get those cakes done and they wouldn't let you go!!!!! So ultimately they caused your blood pressure to go up and stay up by keeping you there. I am so glad you are doing better and I can't wait to see what kind of cakes you shoot out when you have more time....they must be awesome!

Wow! Two sheet cakes in one hour!? I am bowing down to you...and after all that at the hospital! That is just wonderful! Your cakes looked great!

Now you need to take care of yourself! That time spent at the hospital was telling you to slow down! And also telling you that you are a GREAT decorator cause look what you can do!!!
Glad you are feeling better. Ask the hubby to take all the kids somewhere for some alone time..or even a relative.

Next, you are good. I think I would have had a heart attack when I realized I had one hour left. You did a great job period!
