Hi. My name is Angie and I'm a CC addict. Last night my DH wanted to take me and our 3 kids out to dinner to give me a break from cooking. I told him just a minute. 30 minutes later I realized the house was really quiet. They left without me . I believe I have a problem. DH was great about it though. I called him on his cell phone and he said he knew I was working (Ha ) and that he would keep the kids out for a while. He brought me home dinner and guess what? I ate it in front of the computer.

Im new and Im addicted I just want to try everything . I think I have about 10 cake mixes just waiting.

What does DH stand for?? Darling Hubby?? Dumb Husband??

My name is Suzanne, and I am definitely skirting the edges of CC addiction. (I spend too much time online for work already, so I try to spend some of my day doing other things!)

I have taken a preemptive strike against complaints by fy dh and ds by introducing them to cake decorating as a family bonding activity.

My dh has been on CC a couple of times, looking at cake pictures for ideas, and he did a FBCT before I did. My ds has taken Wilton Courses 1 and 3, and will be taking Course 2 next month.

Ok as we speak I have a cake for tomorrow nights class sitting on the table to be iced to cover with fondant for present cake. I have a very full day tomorrow, after school kids paper route, Be done to go to teacher conferences, Then to cake class. I should have that cake frosted and some sort of supper figured out for family to eat while I am at class. AND HERE I AM POSTING
My DH used to be on the nascar chats all the time and I used to give him crap about butt time on the computer. And here I am. When he is on the computer and the little sound that tells you that you have mail, he yells you got mail. Do you think he will get off to let me check it NO!! cause he knows he won't get the computer back I love this sight and on several occasions I wish I had some depends. Cause I have about peed myself laughing so hard. Melvira you ROCK. If I am having a bad day I get on CC to see where you are posting to get a laugh. NO I AM NOT A STALKER I have a blast and will never stop. My Dh got a kick out of the cake pokers. So I really gotta go for now.

Woooo-hoooo! I can cheer someone up with my smart mouth! SCORE!! Seriously, I am just a goofball sometimes and I often wonder if other people laugh as hard at what I type as I do when I'm typing it. I guess it's even funnier if you know how it sounds in my head!

And what is wrong about dreaming of cakes, people?? You say it like it's a problem!! I lay in bed at night thinking about a cake I have to do, or want to do, then sometimes I dream the way to do it. I call that "divine cake creating". God is working through me to make a wonderful cake! hehe.

I even have a cake in my bedroom, of course is a dummy, but it just looks so pretty on top of the antique dresser , my kids keep asking whyy I have a cake in the bedroom and my little daughter asked me if she can eat the frosting!! Last night when I went to bed I tought dozen of ways to decorate it again!!

Ok Vicky, you crossed the line with the cake in the bedroom... now I just think you're weird! Hahahhaha! Just teasing! I bet it does look pretty there though. I had a hard time peeling the frosting off the dummies I made... I had been looking at them for so long and it felt like a waste. I mean, it's different when people eat them, there is more enjoyment coming from them, but this was like... sacrilege. How could you just peel it off and throw it away?!?! HEATHEN!!!

You guys are totally cracking me up!!! Vicky I have a cake in the bedroom right now too, its a dummy I'm working on and it seemed to be the safest place for it. I have 3 small kids so I just put it in there and shut the door, hehe. Good to know I'm not the only one who is addicted to cc & cakes

Ok, I'm back for my CC fix! After I logged off last night, we had lots to do, so I wasn't able to get back on again until this morning. So I get up extra early so that I can have CC time before my kids & husband get up and......my internet is down! I'm, of course, almost in withdrawal at this point...it's been 13.5 hours without CC. So, I make coffee, get the kids up, make breakfast, and get them off to school (all the while periodically checking to see if my internet is back up). Now the 2 older kids are gone, just me and my 3 year old. I tell her "Honey, why don't you watch Dora this morning?" This of course, being part of my evil plan to see if I can call the internet provider and see what the heck is going on! Finally, my internet is back up, I posted on a thread, got ready to post on another one and...........wait for it............my batteries go dead in the wireless mouse I have!! But I've only had 10 minutes on CC!!! So my mouse has a little button on the bottom of it that you can push to get 5 more seconds of battery. You can guess what happened next...I'm sitting here, scrolling through posts, hitting the freakin' button every 5 seconds. After about 5 minutes of that, the little button wouldn't work anymore, so I take the rechargable batteries out of my daughter's Video Now and put them in the rapid charger we have. Tell me, do you think 3 hours is a rapid charge????? I didn't think so either. Anyway, I'm back now, and after all this, I realized I really do have an addiction when I'm stealing my daughter's batteries so I can be on Cake Central!!!! I really think I'm beyond help. Now if you'll excuse me while I go check the forums to see what I've missed.......

You know what I love about CC? I finally have a place that I can post my cake pictures and people actually look at them! I mean, some of my cakes have over 100 views, and I think that is just so cool! And the comments make me feel good! I have my cake photos on Yahoo photos, but nobody looks at them there. And I don't know how to create my own website. I love CC! My co-worker just started talking to me and broke my concentration. Leave me alone! I'm hooked on CC!

I am at work....supposed to be working and all I can think about is sneaking on CC to check things out....I am new to this site and to decorating and I think I am an addict.....So addicted I could get fired!! LOL

I think about cakes as I try to sleep at night.....especially after watching a cake competition or Ace of Cakes on food network!
