I have a cake I frosted with buttercream and was wondering if I have to wait until the day I serve it to put the figures on it? They are made out of melted white chocolate and karo syrup, will they get softer or soggy if I put them in ahead of time? Thanks for any help.

Personally, I would wait until the last minute. I have had not-so-great luck w/ MMF and marzipan figures although I've never tried candy clay. Buttercream will soften MMF. I've also had the figures fall over and wreck the icing. icon_surprised.gif
