If it's for someone who's in the army you could do the army seal or the unit seal as a FBCT. You could also do camoflauge with tanks and helicopters made out of moldling chocolate or fondant.
my little cousin just left for boot camp. I made her a simple cake with an edible image of those magnetic car ribbons you see. Its in my photos if you would like to look.
Is this a chld's birthday or for someone in the Army? What occasion is this for too.
Promotion cakes are good ones to put the rank insigna. For a larger group of people a patch or something to do with their job is good.
For kids tanks, helicopters, soldiers and just about everything else is good.
If you sort of swirl army green and chocolate BC together it looks like camoflage! It's fun too. You swirl it as you're icing the cake.
Then you can do chocolate BC accents, little army guys (dollar store!) and have some fun with it.
you could also cover it with fondant in a camoflage pattern. use cutouts, and blend them togehter just before you roll it out to the size you want . I believe if you search " army" or camoflage in the gallery, you can find some neat ideas as well. Good luck! Post a pic . -B.
ok, if you look in CC's gallery, and do a search under "army" you will find 114 fabulous ideas. if you search "camoflage", you can find 9 ideas, with some repeats between the two. I hope this helps! We should all be greatfull to thoes who volunteer themselves for the service to our country! Best Wishes! -B.
I had planned to make a 3-D camoflage tank cake
set on top a 1/4 sheet cake made to look like desertscape, with toy army men placed around it. I found a set of army men at Big Lots for 1.00. My brother didn't have to go to Iraq after all so I didn't have to make. Guess I will save it for his birthday. There are (I think) 2 tank cakes in the gallery. I wish I could remember who made them.
do a bc transfer of their logo, or you can use the Army of One Theme, or how about camflouge fondant...whatever you come up with will be great!
I just made an army helmet and placed some MMF dogtags around it on top of a chocolate cake. It was simple but they really loved it.
I did an army cake years ago for a friend going off to boot camp: iced it as a battlefield and used little toy soliders set up on the cake. Raisens make good sand bag forts.
I made one for my grandson where I iced it in camouflage and placed a picture of him in his uniform right in the center of the cake. HTH
is this a retirement cake, promotion cake, welcome and farewell cake, change of command cake, corp anniversary cake, ball cake, any ceremony? etc. etc, etc. Other than Army, what is the occasion?
