I need an idea for a welcome baby cake for a father of 5. His employees are ordering it for him. They really want something kind of funny. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

funny Doug....I had forgotten about the dead rabbit, when I first started decorating in the 70's and in the midwest we used that a lot on baby shower cakes. Haven't seen that for a long time. I like all of those ideas.

I hadn't heard of the dead rabbit thing - interesting. I think the book for dummies is great, and the box of condoms is good too!

A while back I made a cake for a father's shower...every time his wife threw up, he threw up too, he gained a lot of weight, he had back pain, he had cravings, and his ankles swelled...his wife teased him about him being pregnant instead of her...so I made a pregnant man cake.

I was told it was a BIG hit at the party!

I forgot to mention what I used to make The Pregnant Man:
I used the Wilton Handsome Guy pan and a half-ball cupcake for his belly. Of course, you could do it on a sheet cake, as well.

This cake is TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cute!!! I just love this cake.
