I need to do a shaped cake to look like a speed boat or ski boat and I am not good at freehand drawing. I was hoping to shape a sheet cake and then frost w/BC. Any tips at all would be very much appreciated!! THANK YOU!!

Ok this is what Id do
Id bake the cake in two loaf pans and shape the cake from that. Leaving the back of the cake square (as it comes from the pan) and shaping the front into a triangle, then carving out the bottom a bit so as to get the under the boat like shape. You could use Shirleys method for fairy wings (gelatin) to make the windshield on the boat. The carve out a square in the top of the cake for the inside of the boat, making seats out of fondant. I would cover the top of a square cake board in blue marble fondant and place the cake on it then pipe in blue waves with white, white caps, maybe toss in a few fondant booies (sp?) for good measure. I would also make a fondant water skier and driver. But of course that all depends on how much they want to pay for the cake icon_wink.gif

Hope this helps
