icon_confused.gif Okay... I'm a little confused... and I really apologize as I know this has probably been covered.... and I have read through some old posts... but...

From what I understand... it is not the rating that they get it is how many actual votes... so even if you check 1 star that is still a vote for that cake to win, right?

But in the rules it says...

Quote:
Quote:

If you like the cake and you think it should win and want to give it the highest vote you can,
you would click "The Best

Why would clicking best give it a higher vote.. if a vote is a vote... am I making sense?? LOL or is the rating the tie-breaker if needed.

Do the ratings matter at all in the contest??

Can someone enlighten this confused brain of mine. LOL

THANKS!

The voting is not really like a "vote", like for a presidential election.

Its more of a "rating". This gives you an opportunity to "Rate" all of the entries, not just one.

For example, if you give an entry "5 Stars - The best"
You are essientially giving that entry 5 points.

What I do at the end of the contest is add up all the points to see which ones got the most points.

Its a little more confusing this way, however, it gives everyone a statisically better chance of winning.
