What is a good non-refrigerated filling for almond flavered pound cake?

You could try the bavarian creme filling they sell in the bags, or maybe a Nutella-laced buttercream? Or one of the fruit fillings?

Either way--almond oundcake! Yummm...

NO, ganache does not have to be refrigerated. But I'm not talking more than two days. Maybe all day or two at room temp.. it should be good. icon_smile.gif .

I've been having a LOT of requests for white almond sour cream cake (recipe found on CC!!!) with raspberry butter cream filling. It's awesome!

I simply add raspberry extract to my vanilla butter cream recipe. Add in a little pink paste color for that "raspberry" color, and wa-lah. I know that it isn't anything fancy, but it sure is good. This is also GREAT with a second filling layer of cream cheese for chocolate cake.
