well b/c they want full sheet cakes and they will be flat you could possibly find an image of a steam train and then go to a bakery and see if they can print you out an edible image of it and then put that on the cake....them maybe for a 3D effect pipe some "steam" on the cake(like clouds, but steam...does that make sense?lol icon_confused.gif ), like a grayish color.
Then for the cake that they want cookies on, maybe find out his fav cookie, make those and then do a FBCT of a cookie jar, or just free hand do one on the cake and then make it look like the cookies are coming out of the cookie jar.....and kinda spread them out a bit all over the cake...????....HTH... icon_biggrin.gif

A train delivering a load of cookies would be fun. You might write something like "express delivery for ____". You could draw the cookies or use "mini" cookies from the grocery store.

would you be open to cutting up a 18x12 sheet to make into a steam train?

see sketch

note the little wedge that completes one of the big wheels.

part II-

18x12 sheet cut to get two more cars:

the coal car -- where you could place the load of cookies on top

and the caboose (every self respecting train must have a caboose!)

use 4 - 6" rounds for wheels, 2 per car.
