Ok this is really hard I cannot free hand so I thought I ask the experts, how can I make this design in RI on a cookie.

I'm no expert, but could you do something like a FBCT using RI? If so, you could trace the design and then put in on the cookie.
Something like color flow.. you could make a pattern and mark the outlines with a toothpick so you can see it and then outline and let dry.. and then fill. Or you could do an edible image if you have access to a printer.. that's be a lot easier.. but if I were doing it.. I'd trace it out and use RI. How many are you going to make? That's a lot of work!
Funny you should post that I was thinking of doing that as well for going back to school time lol...

I'm going to give them to my neighbors when my DD goes and asks them to collect boxtops for her.
OMG! That is such a great idea!!!! I wish I had nice neighbors that would do that for my daughter lol we have alot of spanish speaking neighbors and we don't speak spanish But Susie does lol she's only 8 and doesn't know very much only the basics they teach in school.... our other neighbors are all old and mean...
What about a chocolate transfer? You could cover the cookie with buttercream and lay the transfer on top. Just a thought!
You can make your own stamp. Print off the image in reverse and mount it to a piece of sturdy cardboard. Pipe over the image with a thin line of Elmers glue. Let dry. Dampen a sponge with diluted food color and press your stamp into it. Stamp onto cookie and fill in! Or, you can use edible markers to color the stamp.
WOW! I'm totally amazed at the stamp thing... but totally lost lmao... could you explain it a little more clearer? or maybe show a photo or give a link that gives a tutorial? I've never heard or seen of someone doing that before....

Okey dokey... I'll try to put some pictures together today. I'm a visual person, too.
You can try to get the edible images at your local grocery store. They may need copyright permission. Just use buttercream icing and cut the icing transfer and peel off the back and place it on. Also, you can use cardboard trace the outline of the shape and cut it out with scissors. Then use a knife and the cardboard pattern to cut out the cookie shapes.
Well, the best intentions...
I tried to whip together a photo tutorial but, naturally, a technique that usually works for me is snarking up today. For some reason, my glue is too runny and I can't get good detail. I wonder what went right before?
I'm working on my own cookies today, so I don't have time right now to figure out what's going on.
Plan B -- Get one of those small image projectors at Hobby Lobby. They're around 20-30 bucks - less if you have a coupon.
Thanks Diane! I was always curious about the projectors and now I know where to get one lol I looked online and they are over $200.~

I have one of those $200 projectors. It's been collecting dust in my garage for the past 3 years.
You can try printing it out, tape a piece of wax paper over it, do the RI over it and let it dry. Just remember to make it pretty thick so it won't break too easy. When it is completely dry just take the outside color and put a this layer on the cookie and then put the dried RI logo on top. This is the way I did the Farmers Insurance cookies. Worked great!

Great idea! Smart!
My local cake supply store offers a sheet of edible images for $8 I know I can get permission from Boxtops for sure! I will post a picture of what I do I'll attach it on this thread.
Diane...how incredibly clever. I can't wait to try that out.

Update on the stamp technique: I tried to put together a tutorial, but the technique that usually works for me is not cooperating. I may have to come up with something entirely different. I'm going on vacation so please hang tight until I get back.
