Does anyone out there prefer rolled buttercream over fondant? Just wondering because I'm thinking of trying it. Thanks!

Tastes better, but doesn't handle like fondant.

I made some the other day for some cookies. I agree w/ Tiffnysma it tastes good but doesnt handle anything like fondant. I had to cut out my cookie shape then put it in the freezer then take it out and put it on the cookie just out of the oven. It was kinda of a pain to use.

Yes....I agree. I've only ever tried it once and found it to be very greasy & shiny as a result. Never made it again. Prefer to work with fondant....I use Toba Garrett's fondant recipe so it tastes great.
