My sisiters MIL asked if I wanted to make some cookie bouquets to sale at Burgin Days. But she said they would be outside on booth. How long would they last in the sun or should I try to cover them in MMF? Which would last longer?

Were you planning on covering the cookies in BC or royal? I have had royal in the California sun for hours, and the only problem was maybe a little fading of the colors.

I'd worry about BC melting if it is hot.

I've nver covered cookies in MMF. Do you stick it on with BC?

I have used royal icing (Alice's Icing as it does not dry as hard), buttercream (crusting), rolled buttercream and MMF to cover cookies and have sold them for years at our annual picnic. I did not have a problem with any of the icings melting....and I was worried about the buttercream....but it did just fine! I say make some as a test and put them outside and see how they do!
