Hi, I'm just about to do something that I"m not sure I should do. I'm making cupcakes for DH's cupcake cake and I've just used the cake extender for the first time. I have a bag of mini choco chips that keep staring at me. Would I be crazy if I put them in the batter? Has anyone done this? Would it be good? Or am I better off if I just leave it how it is. (btw I'm making a devil's food cake) Thanks for help!

questioning whether to add more chocolate????

HERESY!!!!!!!!

OF COURSE!!!!!!!!!!

did the very same thing on my last doctored devil's food cake and people raved.

tho' -- the mini's are soooo small that I got lots of "hmmmm....you put something extra in the cake -- but I can't really tell what it is -- but its GOOD!"

you can never go wrong with that..i put a little bit of flour on my chips so they do not settle at the bottom..another secret of mine: instead of water or milk, i use chocolate milk and put 2 tbs of dutch processed hershey's cocoa powder..the ultimate chocolate recipe!
