I want to try to make a little Mario figure for my son's cake. Is it 50/50 MMF/gumpaste?

I have until 7/20 to play around with it.

Also, does the white almond SC cake freeze well?

Yes the cake freezes well. And 50/50 GP and fondant works well for figures. If your area is very humid, pure gumpaste will be best. It dries faster.

Thanks for helping. I'm going to pick up some gumpaste mix now. Maybe he'll pick a character pan at Michael's today and I'll be off the hook! Eventually I want to take the fondant and gumpaste class.
