Another easy way to "load" the decorating bag is to place it in a tall glass, then fold the top of the bag over the top of the glass and fill the bag with icing. I do it all the time and works great. icon_smile.gif

I need to save this for future use. Is there a "favorites" for forum posts?

Another way is to use the plastic bags you get in a supermarket for the fruit and veg. Thread the bag into your bag, making use you don't twist it, past your cup holder. Cut the plastic bag so your pipe fits over it then tie a soft knot in the top of your plastic bag at the other end so you can refill if need be. Clean Bag every time. You can then make your own bags from raincoat material and never have to wash them.

If you want to save this post, then click on 'watch this thread' at the bottom of the page. It will be under Watched Topics for you in the Forums.

This is a great idea. Never heard of it before, and really wish my instructor had shared this, but she is kinda new to decorating herself, so she may not know it. Will have to share this in class today.

Thanks!

Fantastic tip! Great for children learning how to use a decorating bag. No more icing all over the top of the bag and no more rubberbands that never really hold the icing down once kids try and use the bag!!! Thankyou for a fantastic tip!

I love this tip - and for anyone who doesn't use this tip, my Wilton I instructor gave us another tip for easier clean-up - FREEZE that bag of frosting - it will come right out of the bag once its solid...

Happy decorating all,

Ali in MA icon_smile.gif
