i tried this tonight my 2nd attempt at scratch pound cake and i thought it was not sweet enough? It was super yummy none the less but would it be okay to add another cup of sugar or would that alter the reciepe too much?

Buttery pound cake
This buttery pound cake serves as the basis for decorative petits fours with butterflies by Karen Porter of Tilly's Cakes.
Ingredients
Make 1 loaf
3 tablespoons whole milk, room temperature
3 extra-large eggs, room temperature
1 3/4 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sifted cake flour (not self-rising)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
14 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

I haven't tried that one but there is a recipe on Allrecipes.com called Buttery Pound Cake ...it is totally sweet and delicious. I'll see if I can find the link if you are interested.
