I read a message thread with everyone comparing their recipes to grease their pans, but now I can't find it anywhere. I remember Crisco and flour, but there was a third ingredient. Could someone point me in the right direction please?

I thought it was oil, but wanted to double check. Thank you so much.

I searched under "cake release" in the recipies section and found it. I haven't tried it yet though.

I use equal amounts of each ingredient, depends on how much I want on hand. I have done as little as 1/8 c of each and up to 2c of each

I LOVE homemade cake release, no more Pam or wilton cake release for me. It's also like greasing and flouring your cake pans in one easy step!
I always add a little bit more oil to mine to make it easier to squeese out of a squeeze bottle, but it works just fine!
I use that and a piece of wax or parchment paper in the bottom of the cake pan and I have yet to have a problem getting my cakes out of their pans. thumbs_up.gif
