Can anyone recommend a monthly planner/calendar? I'm getting a bit swamped here and my wall calendar isnt cutting it.

I had to get a Dated planner. I bought it at walmart. it is a skinny book that has regular size monthly calendars inside. and since I do every thing on my main wall calendar I just put down the word "cake" so I know that I have to look into my "cake planner" That is how I have been doing it. I got a middle size one so far. but they are bigger ones and smaller ones. I hope this helps

you can link it to your website and then everyone can see when you are or aren't available.

You must have been reading my mind when you posted this thread! I was just thinking about my calendar today...and how much it's not working anymore! I currently have a month-at-a-glance....but need to move to 2- page-per-day view so I can write everything down about my orders. I do have access to online calendars, but prefer a physical calendar to write in, etc. If anyone has a better idea....I truly welcome it! Thanks for posting this!

I use Microsoft outlook and then I can set reminders and make a note of when I need to grocery shopping! I have my orders, reminders, baking days, payments all color coded so I can look quickly through my calender.

I was jsut looking at planners today at target. Didn't find anything great though.

I love the calendar that came with the CakeBoss software!! It has made my scheduling so much easier! I also use Google's calendar and it is on my website so that my customers can check my availability online.

I need to see a week at a time, so I have one that fits in my bag that show 7 days on 2 pages. Like a post above, I write "Smith, 9-15-07" then I go to the paper file for the details. No way I could write all the info I need on a calendar entry space!!

I've thought about an on-line calendar but I can do multiple events in a day/weekend depending on the size and logistics so I don't want someone to look at one entry on my calendar and think "oh she's already booked" when it's possible I could still do their event.l

My husband is a contractor and he has a large day planner with calendars by the month and day as well as a note pad in the back and spaces for business cards and even a calculator. It works for cake decorating as well and keeps everything in one place. I can write in the date and then make notes in the back, which I later transcribe to a contract and shopping list. The best selection can be found at an office supply store or online at www.daytimer.com.

At home I keep it open on the counter, right by the phone, so that I can reference it during phone calls and when planning my baking.

I use an appointment book has all the times set out in it like the ones used in a doctors office. Lots of room to write notes for each appt.
