Which do you like better? I have seen on here that a lot of people like americolor and I was wondering everyone's opinion. I want to try the americolors b/c I have read that they give more true color and you don't have to use as much to get a rich color.

Thanks!

Hi there, I've used both and I really don't dislike Wilton's gels but as you said, Americolor is more true to its color, you use less than Wilton's to achieve a rich color. Hope I'm not confussing you more... Good luck!

Americolor all the way. thumbs_up.gif It is not to say that there aren't a couple of Wilton colors that I still use--I LOVE the color of Juniper green. But Americolors are a more superior color gel overall in my opinion. And I love the fact that I do not have to use as much or use toothpicks to get the color out--love squeeze bottles!

Americolor for sure. I still use some Wilton gel pastes but I much prefer the americolor. Gives much richer color with less and I hate having to use toothpicks to get out the Wilton colors.

I haven't seen Americolor in the stores around here, is CC the only place you can order it from?

Any good cake supply store will carry them if you have a supply store nearby.

Americolor!! Wilton is still good for soft colors, but for bold colors, Americolor is SO much better. And the squeeze bottle makes things much easier.

Thanks everyone! I am going to order some Americolor to try and see for myself how good it is. I really want to try the super black and the red red, because you have to use so much of the wilton kind to ge really dark colors.
