What a crappy day!! spent most of the day in the doctor's office and hospital getting my son's foot exrayed (he's fine...was told he's just bine a boy jumping off the top of the slide and hurting his foot...that's what boys do ) and then.....

I've spent the last week looking for some premade gumpaste flowers I had ordered for a bride's cake (She did pay me for them). I ordered them months ago when we first met and she picked out a cake. Well her cake changed at least a 100x's...and she decided she wasn't going to use the flowers....so I thought i put them up in my cake cabinet. Well I started looking for them last week when the bride asked about maybe using them on her crown cake and went to where I thought they were...but they weren't there. Not a big deal, thought maybe I had put them up somewhere else...but didn't look too hard trying to find them. but i didn't say anything to the bride b/c she wasn't sure she wanted to use them....if she didn't end up using them I'd give her money back and just keep them b/c I'd use for another cake at some point.

Well had a disscussion w/her about the crown topper this morning and we decided to use the flowers....AND I CAN'T FIND THE DANG THINGS!!

My mom just happened to be at the house while I was tearing it apart and asked what me I was doing.....I told her....and she says that about a month ago Aiden got into my cabinet and tore up a couple of boxes...she wasn't sure what was in them....b/c when she found him...it was just a bunch of small white pieces and she just cleaned it up and threw it away!!

AND SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL ME!! She said she forgot!! So since we both agree the flowers will go on the cake now.....SHE IS PICKING IT UP FRIDAY....i had to rush order (2nd day air) the stupid things so they would get here by thursday...and it is going to cost me a freaking fortune!!

WHY!! WHY!!! WHHHHYYYY!!!! ALWAYS AT THE LAST MINUTE!!! aaarrgghh!!

I am feeling your pain...I'm assuming Aiden is your precious little boy?

I understand completely. My mom tends to forget to tell me things real often. Sometimes I find out after an event occured or something that I was suppose to call or attend, something....always....

Hang in there! That sound exactly like something one of my kids would do..... like use my pastry bags to squirt that green gack-stuff on their barbies and then tell me later!
