Ok I read through the entire CC story thread, all 12 pages...fewff!...and noticed two prevailing comments...
#1. Heath REALLY DOES need a new avatar...and
#2. WHO'S DOING THE CAKE??
I have an idea for #2...(now being that a wedding is to be a very special day in ones life you might not like my "lottery" idea, so feel free to trash it...) Why not have a wedding cake contest on CC (same rules as the usual contests) but the GRAND PRIZE is the honor of doing THE WEDDING CAKE!! icon_twisted.gificon_biggrin.gif I personally really think it's a cool idea, and it should be a prize for Jackie and Heath as well for all their hard work...(meaning no charge) maybe we can give back to our founding father's...what do you guys think?? and MOST importantly what does Jackie and Heath think?? icon_lol.gificon_biggrin.gif

By that you mean the winner's design would win not everyone lives near Heath and Jackie, They are such a good looking couple!

haha,

We have actually thought alot about doing something like this for our wedding cake, whenever that may be. It is a great idea, and we definitely would love to involve CC in our wedding.

Honestly, there is no real reason for our engagement being so long, we are just really happy as we are, and life is so chaotic right now, it has been hard for us to even imagine trying to planning a wedding. We need to get a few things settled down a bit before we can put energy into something as stressful as wedding planning.

You can be sure that when we do set a date, we will announce it here the very same day thumbs_up.gif

OR we can all send cakes, and your wedding would be in the guiness book for the wedding with most wedding cakes, how is that for publicity for CC?

wow what a fantastic idea. I think doing a cake for the wedding would be a great idea considering all the hard work and time they give each and everyone of us.

and who said you had to plan it?????

with all the mother hens (and at least one old rooster icon_rolleyes.gif) on here....

all you'd have to do is:

say when and colors

could we all ever do one bang-up job!

------

and yes...we should have a contest to design their cake

----

heck, if I won (as if...considering the likes of many of you on here) I'd figure out some way to go and do it, and I bet others would too.

-----

so: season? spring? winter? fall? autumn? (i see them as winter -- w/ a planned snowball fight -- or summer on the beach, Caribbean style)

colors: if winter: royal blue in velvet w/ white lace accents.
if summer: yellows and oranges. short, diaphanous.

-----------

ok ladies -- have at it ---

Jackie and Heath's fantasy wedding -- post pics too if you have them!

Don't cake decorators deliver and set up the cake on site? Realistically how could somebody from across the state, country or world do a cake for Jackie and Heath?

bake, make icings freeze, dry ice,

drive fast (my normal method -- more dry ice)
drive faster (still normal -- what officer??? no, there's no fire or pregnant mommy -- it's something more important -- a wedding cake!)

then do a Duff (like he did for super bowl cake) and turn hotel room into decorating kitchen.

it CAN be done!

(could even find a way to rent kitchen time some place near them)

where there is a will, there is generally a way.

I have traveled now a couple of times and decorated a tierd cake in a hotel room. No body else got to share the room with me but that was a good excuse to have one of my own!

How 'bout this...
This contest could have an entry fee which would eventually pay for a (FIRST CLASS, of course) ticket for the winner to fly on over to WA...

woo hoo.....my brain is on overdrive... icon_biggrin.gif
