off a restaurant owner who is attending an event I'm doing the cake for. I also just read in the paper he will be opening a coffee house and europeon market in our town.

I like my current flavors but there just ho hum, carrot, red velvet, yellow, chocolate, etc.

Looking to really impress!!

Thanks for any ideas.

Choc fudge cake from Toba Garrett's book is awesome.

I have also been making the white choc whisper cake from the cake Bible. My new hairdresser is european and I brought him some cake to taste--he insisted on it--then he ordered the same cake for his wife's bday, then this week ordered the same cake for his son's bday. He raves and raves. I ice and fill it with choc IMBC.

You need to have a good icing to impress also. If this person is into european pastries, he would probably appreciate IMBC or SMBC a lot more than the american decorator style of icing.

Go knock 'em dead!
