I am to do a karate cake for a boy at our church (turning 11) but am having trouble finding "clean" images to use on the cake. Any ideas? They just want to avoid some of the more "evil" looking images and prefer some of the more "clean" looking images - such as a kick, etc. I would really like for it to be of a kid, but if it is a grown man, that would be fine too.

OR, do you have any other ideas instead of the man? The boy has just earned his orange/black stripe belt and I want to incorporate that in it as well.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know what you mean by "evil" but this link has some good cakes.

My son has just started karate about 3 mos. ago and he wants a karate cake for his birthday too. What I was thinking of doing is some kind of symbol or dialect because my drawing skills are not that great. Maybe you could visit the karate school he goes to and see some of the writtings or things they have hung and get some isperation there. This also may seem a little corny but I have recently watched karate kid with my son maybe you could get some ideas there. Hope your cake turns out well.

Have you seen the martial artist done with the "little heroes" wilton cake pan? I did that for my son's red tip ceremony. It turned out very cute. I found it on the wilton website.

I know what you mean by not being able to find karate images! I did karate cake for a 9yr old girl about a month ago. I finally found a girl karate cartoon and made silohette (sp?) choc. transfers. I also found a cool yin/yang symbol & made a transfer for the topper. You can take a look at it in my photos. I personally wanted to put a cool dragon on top, but my better judgement changed my mind (too evil).
You could incorporate the belt colors into the cake or make a large fondant belt to go around the cake depending on what size/shape cake you're making.

I found these images that might work for you. The second one is a girl, but you can just omit the ponytail.

This one you could make him less "evil" looking by doing his eyebrows differently:

This would be cute in a cut-out cake. I love the font as well:
