HELP I need to have an idea on how to make a 3D forklift cake, has any one done one before?

Hi, saw that no one had answered your post...so I thought up something..hope it helps...

Take some square cakes, stack them, and then carve the bottom shape of the cake out, then take straws or wire, cover it with tin foil and then cover with fondant for the window frame, to make the forklift apparatus probably melted chocolate would probably work best.

Thanks Mouse, I haven't made it yet and no one came up with any ideas to help me yet. I will probably be doing it next week some time, I;ll let you know how it turns out

I KNEW somebody had asked about a forklift, but then couldn't remember who it was. I have found this picture that might help. Check out Joanndesigns.com (different website from Joann's crafts), there are lots of designs meant for embroidery machines, etc., terrific place for ideas! Janice

Looks like a 3-d cake will be a real challenge! Janice
