Urgent Help Cc!!! Subbing Butter In Cookies?

In the process of making some chocolate chip cookies for son's daycare and ran out of butter can't get tot he store right now. they need it in an hour

I need 4 ounces I only have abut 2. Can i substitute vegetable shoetening for the other 2 ounces of butter i don't have?

Of course! Look at the side of the shortening can though- I think you need to add a little extra liquid too.

Yes. My MIL always makes her cookies with half butter half crisco. Good luck!

it's organic all vegetable shortening. Non -Hydrogenated

is that OK?

sure- why not? As long as it is made from fat it should be fine!

cookies turne out great. only prob new cookie sheets too big for oven. bigger oven wont heat up uggg

so i had to lean them in anyway they taste great
