Does anyone have a place to order this from.

I tried some this week in my icing and there is no way i am going back to crisco . It was like my buttercream with the smoothness of store bought. to good to be true ! I ordered off of ebay but 3lbs is not going to cut it for me .

hi!!!

i ordered some from sugarcraft but they are very expensive in shippong. if you type in hi ratio shortening. i have seen a couple of threads that told where you could buy it in 50lbs. i tried it for the first time last week and it was sooooo good and even did a taste test with it and buttercream made with crisco and it won hands down. also, it holds up extremely well in our heat and humidity right now.

I have ordered Alpine from The Bakers Kitchen and had no problems. THeir prices have gone up though. icon_sad.gif The best thing to do is call local food distributors in your area to see if they have any. I was lucky enough to find one from an area food distributor that specializes in meats--they just happen to carry that too--but had to call and ask. They carry Sweetex and I find it just as good as the Alpine brand.
