An old man was on his death bed, breathing his last, when he smelled his favorite cookies baking in the kitchen. He was overcome with emotion that in his hour of need his loving wife would think of him in such a special way. So he painfully crawled out of bed and went out into the hallway. He grasped the railing for dear life as he climbed down the stairs. As he could see the kitchen counter, he was in elation as he saw what appeared to be hundreds of his favorite cookies cooling on the counter. He made his way into the kitchen with all his remaining strength. He was about to grab a cookie when his wife slapped his hand with a spatula. ?What?s that about?? he asked feebly, and his wife replied, ?Those are for the funeral!?
oh...that is so sad I feel so bad for that old man.......of course...it is just a joke, but poor sick hubby can't even eat one of his own funeral cookies! LOL
hahaha!!! Yep... Unfortunately, thats probably how my hubbys going to go, too.... *Whoops* Did I say that out loud?!
I've told this joke for years, and I make cookies often ... so every time I make cookies when family or firends come into the kitchen to get one, I say "Those are for the funeral!"
Too funny! Thanks for sharing the joke.... I'll have to remember it for the next time I bake cookies!
