To make strawberry IMBC, can you just add some strawberry preserves once the IMBC has been beaten smooth? I was just wondering if anyone does this and if it affects the stability or structure of the buttercream. Any advice is appreciated!

I've not added preserves, but I have added fruit purees to my SMBC and it worked just fine. I used RLB's 3/4 C puree or curd to 4 1/2 C SMBC.
