This is the first attempt my daughter and I made at a frozen buttercream transfer. It was for my son's birthday. He worked as a children's librarian up until last December. Dr. Seuss books were a favorite of the kids in story time, so we decided to go with a Cat in the Hat cake for him. It turned out much better than I expected for the first time. There were a couple of smudges here and there but all in all, it was fun and I'll definitely be using the procedure more often.

Great job, I hope the first one I'm doing shortly comes out just as good.

I've done several chocolate transfers but keep putting off the BC ones, little nervous I guess icon_rolleyes.gif

Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I'm not sure I would have ever tried this if it weren't for CC. I've learned so much and gotten so many good ideas from this site.

My next venture is to try to make some gumpaste flowers. I did take a holiday gumpaste flower course at Wilton -- a 2 day course where we did poinsettias, briar roses, holly and mums. I couldn't believe that the poinsettia took almost 4 hours to complete. I want to try doing a regular gumpaste rose or a fondant rose.

Thanks for making me want to learn more!
