Does anyone have a good recipe for a fudgey frosting?
I'm working on a german chocolate cake, so I want a darker, richer colored frosting than what I've gotten before by adding cocoa to buttercream. I seem to remember seeing a recipe that included Hershey's syrup, but now I can't find it anywhere.

Thank in advance!

I dunno if you've tried this... but just add MORE cocoa to your butter cream. In grade 11 I took culinary class, and we were supposed to ice our cupcakes with cocolate frosting, and well, the girls in my group added cocoa so that it was light brown colour, not very chocolaty at all, and what they did seems to be a norm. I add cocoa untill it's dark and rich and chocolaty. most people, when they sea what I use think it's too much cocoa, but it's always perfect. also you can try adding some melted chocolate to the butter when making a buttercream.
