What Is Marshmallow Icing?

I was told it would hold up in the heat. Anyone tried it? Got a recipe? Thanks!

and have fun experimenting adding different flavorings to it.

this is so easy and yummy!!! (hard to make sure it all goes on the cake and not straight to tummy)

I don't think this one is the same as mmf. I read about it in a magazine and she said it was a cooked icing. icon_confused.gif

Marshmallow icing is most likely 7-minute frosting. It is mostly sugar and cooked egg whites. In some ways, similar to SMBC, but no butter.

It is soft and fluffy. You can probably get very simple borders, but not much decoration with this frosting. It is a favorite of many.

Many cookbooks have this recipe, if it isn't already in the forum.
