Hello. Could someone give me the recipe for MMF. Also is there a big difference between this and Wilton brand? I do not like the Wilton brand at all! Thanks for any advice!

Here is the link to the mmf listed on this website under the recipes tab. I haven't tried it yet but am looking forward to it. I have tried the Wilton Fondant and found it easy to work with but really didn't care for the flavor or the texture.

Good luck and have fun !
One other question...Does this cover and look smooth on the cake like Wilton's fondant? Do you use the same tools (fondant smoother etc.)? Just asking so I know what to expect when I try it! Thanks again!

mmf is treated the same way. Just do it as you would with wilton.
Have fun and post a picture.
Can you mix this w/your mixer? On the recipe it states to make a well in your confectioner's sugar and pour in the melted marshmallow.... could you use your dough hook and do this with a mixer?
OH NO!! I just read the recipe and it said to let it set overnight.... I was planning on mixing this up tonight and using it... Does it have to set overnight? Has anyone used it right after mixing it?

i made some and i used it right away, it still worked great
You can use it right away and you can use your mixer.... use your kneaders like you would with bread.
*Phew* ... I was kinda worried about how it would come out if it had to set overnight... also, it says to use cornstarch to dust the work area and the rolling pin.... does this affect the taste any?
I use powdered sugar. Also, put a small amount of crisco on your hands. Hope this helps!
I can't wait to try this out...I hope I don't make just one gooey mess! Thanks for all the tips!

I have found that the crisco actually works better because the powdered sugar gets worked into the MMF and can make it dry!!
Thanks for the tip MrsMissey I'm making some tonight and plan to use the Crisco instead of the powdered sugar ... I know with gumpaste, the Crisco worked better for me too and allowed me a bit more time to handle it before it dried out... but I haven't tried the MMF yet... tonight's the night!! lol
Thanks again!!
I also flavor my MMF. For my pink "under the sea" wedding cake, the bride wanted a strawberry flavored fondant. I used concentrated candy flavoring from the cake supply store. Worked great! I used the concentrated so it wouldn't add too much liquid and mess up the recipe. Also have to keep in mind the color of the flavoring. It my change the color of your MMF. My flavor and color of my MMF were the same so I didn't have to worry. I'm not sure were you could get clear candy coloring. Anyone else know? Thanks!
Wilton has clear candy flavoring. Cherry, mint, peppermint and cinnamon, it comes as a set.
