My website is up and running. Could you please tell me what you think I should keep or do differently would be great. I am still working on getting my gallery up and running. I am having some problems with the program to work properly.

Thanks in Advance...
Thea

It's very pretty. I like it. It flows very nice, it's not dated looking and I love the font. You must have worked alot on it.

Great job!

Wonderful job!!! I love the Homepage!! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif But, you spelled Colette Peters wrong in your description on the 1 cake. 1 L, not 2. Sorry!! icon_redface.gif

Looks great!

One suggestion and I think this may have been an oversight; on the Diabetic Menu, you have the asterisk next to a few items but no footnote at the bottom of page. I assume those marked are seasonal items; just need to add that to the page.

Hope this helps.

Great graphics and font. Like the profile info and the numberr of selections. Easy to navigate. Is there a way to enlarge the cake pictures when you click on them?

Did you build a commercial kitchen or are you leasing space? What is the cost? (Just info I'd be interested in for myself, nothing to do with the site!)

Wow! That is great! You have really thought out the whole cupcake thing! Who would have thought that cupcakes could require so much planning and creativity. And I love the wedding planner. I don't think there is one single thing that you have not thought of. That should make party planning pretty convenient for a whole lot of people - taking the guess work out of the picture for you! GREAT JOB!

It looks really good. I like the soft colors. The word stabilized is misspelled on the icing page, FYI.

Congratulations!!

Congratulations! It's a very nice website. I wanted to give a bump to the person who asked about what development tools you used? Did you create it, pay someone else? Any tips you could give us would be great - especially if you found some great software to make the development easier!!

Professional designer critique here:

Homepage is very clean and elegant. I like your choice of font and homepage image. Loads quickly also (VERY BIG PLUS). Another plus re font is that it's elegant but easy to read. I can't tell you how many websites I see where someone thinks eh this font is adorable, but a visitor either spends 10 minutes trying to decipher what is written, or if not that patient, says fuggit and moves onto another site and then ya lose another hit (or using dark font on dark background, so common yet so incredibly useless LOL).
Will wait with comments on gallery- as it's still under construction.
I like how you put 'contact me' on every page.
On your Flavors page (tiny detail) you want to line up your FLAVORS justified with the first line of text, to be consistent with your headings on your other page.
With your list of flavors in each category, maybe also for consistency across all your pages (consistency is pleasing to the eye) make your lists run directly underneath (justified) with that particular flavor heading (CAKES, COOKIES etc).

A couple of other tiny things:
Under ICINGS: stabalized = stabilized
Under PIES: delete space after Strawberry Rhubarb (yummy I love that combo lol)
Cupcake category: In some, you capitalized Cupcake also, but not in others. And some spaces missing between types of cupcakes- man those cupcakes sounds good, can I order some? icon_cool.gif . also noticed one period at end of Sweet Dreams description (and on the contact page also)
Under DIABETIC, could you delete some of the spaces between the 3 categories and make the 3 headings bigger instead? icon_biggrin.gif (and explain what the * is for under keylime and pumpkin- is that seasonal too?)

LOVE the addition of the wedding checklist.

Only thing I don't see on there is prices. Maybe if you're not set on prices you could explain something at least about pricing in your 'about me' page?

Looks great! Can't wait to see the pics!

Your site looks great!! Love the color choices, very inviting. One comment...When I'm choosing flavors, cake choices, icings etc, I like to see them side by side instead of having to go from page to page. Just easier to choose combinations. Just a thought.

Sorry it took so long. For some reason I am not getting emails saying that I had a new post on this thing. Hopefully I will now. Thank you everyone for all of your comments, and help.

MissT - I think you were looking at a different website, I do not have Colette Peters name on my site at all.

Doug and Tscookies- I convinced my brother into building the site for me. Hence why my gallery isn't up yet. He is writing a whole new program for it. Have to love family....

sweetbaker - thanks for looking so closely. It's amazing what you overlook when it is you have been working on it for days....

Goal4me - still working on enlarging the pictures. Once my gallery is completely up you will be able to see all the pictures in a small version and a large. And no, unfortunatley I am renting space from a local coffee shop. It cost me $10/hour or $70 a day, which ever is less. Waiting for my business to make enough money where I can build.

Oceanspitfire - THANK YOU for all of the tiny things you pointed out.

emmascakes and tabs8774 - It is up and running again. There was a huge thunderstorm and whenever that happens, the server seems to crash. That is one of the downfalls of having my brother host it and not a HUGE corporation. But hey, its free.

Thank you again for looking and with all of your help and great comments.

I truly like your website. The look is modern, fresh, professional and feminine. Your personality comes through as honest and unpretentious.
I think adding an interactive feature is a great idea and would make your site on par with some of the more well-known cake decorators. I would also expand the wedding tip page---add a pretty graphic like your home page. It looks a bit stark and not in keeping with the rest of the website [unless there was a problem with my computer viewing the graphic]. Overall, you did a great job, and I'm sure your effort will pay off with increased sales.
