I'm really looking forward to using the Buttercream Dream recipe since everyone says it's wonderful. The problem is, I need it to be chocolate but I just don't know how much to add. I've gotten good at the cakes themselves, but frosting intimidates me. I looked around through the forum and couldn't find any kind of measurement.

Also, does anyone know how much frosting a single batch makes? I'm going to need about 4 cups, so I want to be sure I have enough ingredients on hand.

I appreciate any help you can give. I've been hooked on this site for a while no, and I'm finally getting enough courage to try something new. With any luck, I'll be as knowledgeable as all of you before too long

I've never made this recipe with chocolate but I am a big BC Dream fan. Maybe someone else can help you on that end but I would guess it makes at least 4 cups so I would say you're covered on that end. I've never really measured though. I'm just going by what I remember being in the bowl after i've made it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
