I'm making strawberry cake for my daugther's first b-day and was wondering what can I add to the mix to enhance it, I read some where cheesecake pudding. Has anyone tried this ?Any other ideas? I'm planing to make cream cheese strawberry filling. Thanks Caixa.

Also can you share your strawberry cream cheese recipe, it sounds heavenly? Cream cheese is my all time favorite.

I have used cheesecake or white chocolate pudding with my strawberry mixes before and both tasted great. I have also substituted Vanilla soy milk in place of the water and that gave it a nice texture and flavor too.

I would think the cheesecake would go well if you are using a cream cheese filling.

I have doctored strawberry cake mixes up with cream cheese pudding mix, vanilla pudding mix, and also, you can add 1 cup of sour cream. Or, try a package of Dream Whip.

I just mix cream cheese frosting (the one on this site crusting cream cheese) with frozen strawberries (drained) nothing really special, but everyone loves it . Caixa.

I use DH strawberry cake mix, add one box of vanilla pudding, and I replace my water with Strawberry pop. It is very moist and gives it some extra flavor. I then usually fill with fresh cut strawberries if the cake allows it.

I don't so much care for the strawberry mixes... I use the Cake Dr recipe for strawberry cake - and it's delicious! PM me if you want the recipe. You use a white cake mix, with fresh strawberries. You can tell the difference!

The strawberry cake from scratch recipe on here rocks!!! I put in a bit of sour cream and use buttermilk instead of whole milk. It's awesome though and there aren't many people who have a scratch recipe for strawberry cake. It's very moist and yummy!!
