Long story short:

Been working at home at the same medical transcription job for 12 years--gave my notice today--next Saturday is my last day. I'm free, free, free at least. Now I can find out what it's like to decorate cakes during the DAY instead of at midnight and beyond.

I also help DH run our small company, so I have "another" almost full-time job, but at least this way I won't be tied to my desk quite so much!

Just thought I'd share that with...the whole world...lol

Good for you. thumbs_up.gif

Your cakes are awesome, so I am sure you will do fine, especially with some good-night sleep.

Way to go. icon_wink.gif

Good thing you gave up your ''job''. With the gorgeous cakes you make, I'm sure you'll be selling a lot of them and will need all that time.
Good luck and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH, How excited I am for you!!!! I wish I could do the same. I am an accountant in corporate America and I am so bored. I dream of doing the cake gig full time some day.

BEST OF LUCK!

I too was an accountant in corporate america. My son's health and the new found love for decorating made my decision to follow my passions easier. The money sticks but quality of life....priceless.

I just joined and the first thing I read is the note from homecook. It must be a sign. I am also a medical transcriptionist THINKING about quitting my job. This is great!
