icon_cry.gif My mother has volunteered me to make a cupcake cake for my nephew's end of the school year class party. The only problem is the party is on Thursday, and I have no ideas!!!! thumbsdown.gif There are 20 kids, plus the teacher, so figured I just do it with 24, and the parents that show up cak eat the excess 2. Any assistance would be great thumbs_up.gif

What about suns maybe with happy faces or shades. I liked the Smile ones in the top right corner of this pic. Maybe you could turn those into suns.

Sorry...I missed that you were doing a CCC and not cupcakes. I guess you could make a big sun out of them.

thank you, and your ideas are appreciated. Cupcake ideas are good too. I just said CCC because I think they are easier than individual cupcakes. Any ideas are welcome!!

They are for sure! I made 7 dozen island cupcakes and in the time it took me to do them, I could have decorated at least 2 cakes. Luckily...they're fun to make. I have an order for 75 tennis court ones for Thursday. I probably won't be on here much tomorrow--LOL!

Thanks! I've got plans to use my airbrush and a net stencil...we'll see how it goes. If not well, I'll be piping a lot of net!

Will you have a chance to talk to your nephew before you have to make it? I am a first grade teacher and I know what the kids in my class like (ex. what fav books of class, fav sayings, etc). Maybe your nephew can help you decide, possibly using something from a favorite book series.

I talked to him this morning, and he was no help! He's personally into basketball, and that's all he ever wants. I was searching the internet and I found a CCC that had stick figure boys and girls around the edges and then a big stick figure for the teacher. It said happy Birthday, but I can change it to something, maybe thank you to the teacher. icon_biggrin.gif
