Lemon No Fails?

i was making my second batch of no fails tonight and instead of vanilla i grabbed the lemon extract by mistake. i didn't even notice till i had already put it in the dough.

has anyone tried this? is the lemon flavor real stong?

I've used lemon, orange, peppermint, almond and maple extracts for cookies. Unless you add quite a bit (1 tsp or more) it's often hard to notice the flavour beyond the "sugar-cookie-ness"!

If you want a nice lemon flavor in a no-fail, add your extract and about a tsp or two of lemon zest. They taste great!!!

the cookies turned out really good. my husband loved them. i think i'm going to try a different kind of extract next time. i did see the orange and the maple flavor at the market.

now i'm thinking about icing flavors with the lemon cookies.
