In the enhanced cake mix recipe, it calls to use melted butter. Tonight I plan on using the BC Butter Recipe Chocolate cake. I was wondering since the cake mix says to use soften butter if it'll be okay to melt the butter and use the enhanced cake mix recipe. Thanks.

I made a cake this weekend using DH chocolate fudge and the enhanced cake recipe. I melted the butter, and everything tasted fine. The only thing you might want to try is using a flower nail for your heating core. I didn't think about doing it, and it took an hour to get the center cooked. (baked mine in a 9x13 pan at 325 deg.F though, I'm sure layers will cook better)
