I know it's pretty common for venues that offer wedding reception room to require the bride to use a specific caterer and/or cake decorator. I'm thinking of approaching some of those types of venues that are in my county and trying to work something out with them where they will require their clients to purchase their wedding cakes from me and me only. What I'm having trouble with, though, is what to offer them in return. You know--you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. Obviously, a cut from the profit is what they would get, but how much? 10%?? 20%?? More?!? Do any of you have a deal like this worked out? If so, what are the terms, if you don't mind sharing?
I know wedding planners get 10% commision...
maybe its the same ...I havent heard about venues but hopefully heres a start.
a lead is a lead huh ...i would see why it would be differrent for a venue vs. a wedding planner...
any body else got any suggestions.
I would call a reception hall that you know does that, and then find out who their supplier is. Call the supplier (or do that first if you know who's doing that already) and try to find out how much cut a reception hall takes that way?
